Say NO to Moose Hunting in Michigan


Dear Suzann,

The Michigan legislature is considering a bill to allow moose hunting for
the first time in more than 100 years. Moose were nearly eliminated from
Michigan in the 19th century, and their population is still fragile. With
only 500-600 moose in the Upper Peninsula, it's premature to allow hunting
of this small and recovering population.

Please make a brief, polite phone call to your state representative Pam
Byrnes (517) 373-0828 and urge opposition to S.B. 1013. You can say: "My
name is [your name] and I'm calling from [your town]. As a constituent, I
urge you to oppose S.B. 1013, which would allow moose hunting in Michigan."
